Thursday night is rehearsal for the Chancel Choir and we have a new member, Carol Whitmer, who sang soprano with the choir quite a few years ago. But now she has rejoined us as a tenor, and we are so delighted to have her with us again. WELCOME BACK, CAROL!
We are definitely in need of additional male voices, and soif God has given you a vocal talent, why not put it into useby joining the Chancel Choir. You will be glad you did!
If you have questions about joining, get them answered by giving a call or sending an email to Marjorie Beavon.
Our choir room has new decor on the back wall ... an enlarged music staff with large black quarter notes and eighth notes... which make the room really "come alive"!
The new look is thanks to the creative talent and many hours of effort by Marilynn Salonko. Those musical notes just did not want to stay on the wall and Marilynn had to try at least 4 different kinds of glue and adhesive to finally achieve success. And we appreciate all you did, Marilynn ... THANKS SO VERY MUCH!
In January the Chancel Choir sang 5 beautiful anthems:
All In The Name of Jesus
This Is My Prayer with Change My Heart, O God
More Precious
Jesus, Savior
Jesus, I Love You
Many thanks go to: Ruthanne Hockaday for playing
the Wind Chimes, and to Jonathan Mikule and
Debbie Coad for their excellent directing!
Psalm 21:13 Be Thou exalted, O Lord, in Thy
strength; We will sing and praise Thy power.
